INTRODUCTION
The department of Automobile Engineering of our College is established in the year 2001 with an intake of 30 students and now with 60. Since 2002 it is headed by Dr.M.Kumaresan with 11 PG Professors. The Laboratories such as Vehicle Maintenance Auto Components, Fuels and Lab and Two & Wheelers are equipped as per the AICTE & Anna University requirements.
Our students are given special in-plant training for 1 week at ATS ELGI, Coimbatore on current scenario in Auto service sector. All the students are arranged for industrial visits to Auto industries such as Ashok Leyland, ARAI, Volkswagen, Ucal etc. and in Auto Expo in Delhi. All our students are enrolled as student members in SAE India Collegiate club.
Every year the department conducts National level seminar like Auto Meet, Auto fest on Recent trends in Auto technology, Alternative fuels etc. with Industrial experts and eminent Professors from IIT, MIT etc. and also conducts Workshop on RC Car designing. Our students are also given proper Training in Soft skills, Communication Skills etc. every year.

Our students are placed in industries such as Maruti Udyog Ltd., India, Pistons, Ucal, Bosch, Caterpillar etc. Most of the alumni are occupying Managerial position in the Auto Industries where they are working.
